Tim Scribner - Bass and Vocals

Tim Scribner (Scribby) started playing bass at the age of 12 in the typical middle and high school rock bands. After high school he went on the road and traveled the Midwest with several Top 40 cover bands. While in the military, Scribby performed "old school" country on the weekends. After military service and yet another stint on the road with several bands, he settled in to a house gig with Jumpin' Jimmie Brown (first husband of R&B artist Ruth Brown). He was introduced to Jimmie Brown's extensive musical repertoire and learned the importance providing a solid foundation for the band. Since moving back to Minnesota in 1983, Scribby has had the good fortune to perform with many talented musicians and is incredibly blessed to now be part of The Gopher Tones  "It is truly an honor to perform along side of this talent group of musicians".

Tom Kochie - Guitar and Vocals

Tom Kochie a Minnesota native grew up in Rochester, Mn. and started playing guitar in the mid-1960's after his older brother showed him how to play Bill Dogget's Honky Tonk, From there he went on to show off his new found passion at the 4th grade talent show  with a 2 song rendition of Honky Tonk and  Ray Charles What I Say.  A performer was born. Tom's teenage years were spent absorbing parts of his sister's record collection and tuning in to Creedence Clearwater Revival, Santana, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zepplin. Warm weather and college took Tom to Austin, TX. It was there that he was reunited with  the blues and his most earliest influences. He traded in his complete record/CD collection to scrounge up money to start exploring the roots of blues. Tom was frequently caught at Antone's in Austin trying to snatch a few licks from the many blues legends that perform there. Family, work and cooler climate brought Tom back to Minnesota (Rochester) where he continues to explore his passion for blues music and evangelize one of  America's great art forms. Tom is a member of the Minnesota Blues Society and has been blessed with the opportunities to play at The Duluth Blues Festival, International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tn, and Buddy Guy's Legends (with Buddy !) in Chicago.
